I came across the “Dark Rye” series purely by accident. It was late at night and I was scrolling through PBS streaming on Apple TV. I went below the surface of the channel, past “American Experience” and “This Old House” and discovered a handful of really great shorts. One of the them is called Epic. A couple, who ride bikes together. They talk about what cycling means to them, their relationship, their business, their life. I then switched over to the computer and found more from “Dark Rye.” I came across this one and I have to say, it’s pretty ingenious. We can make bikes from bamboo and heavy amounts of glue and that’s cool, but this is more interesting. Everyday cardboard. Check out “Dark Rye” here.
