August 15, 2016 – As the race at the Arctic Circle, the 2016 Arctic Race of Norway, wrapped up yesterday we were treated to John Degenkolb’s first win back from his horrific training accident in Spain. The predicted sprinter’s battle was as good as expected, with Kristoff, Van Poppel, Demarré and Degenkolb all figuring in the fight. The GC battle offered a new name, the 22 year old Gianni Moscone of Team SKY. On stage three to Korgfjellet, with a 9km finish climb and an average slope of 6.5percent, Moscone took the stage win and secured the GC victory.
