Stage One of the USA Pro Challenge is in the books. Kiel Reijnen won the stage and took the overall lead during the short 61 mile stage from Aspen to Aspen/Snowmass Village.

The US Rider from United Healthcare Pro Cycling is on equal time with Garmin-Sharp’s Alex Howes, but dons the jersey thanks to crossing the line first. Things are likely to change tomorrow as the real racing starts with 105 miles from Aspen to Crested Butte. Three KOM’s, including a final kicker to the Crested Butte finish line, could deliver substantial gaps.
