May 9, 2015 – The first stage of the 2015 Giro d’Italia was a short, but extremely intense, team-time-trial to put each and every rider to the test. The big guns on the day turned out to be Orica-Greenedge, who put down an insanely fast 54.33km/h timetrial to take the stage by just seven seconds. Simon Gerrans will be wearing pink heading into stage two, yet there will be several riders looking to grab the jersey on Sunday. Our photographer Yuzuru Sunada will be at the entire Giro d’Italia and we will be posting a Giro d’Images to give you a behind the scenes tour of the race for pink. Enjoy!
