Wednesday is gear day at the Peloton Service Course and we’ve noticed the fall riding calendar is getting packed with incredible events full of challenging terrain. Our own PELOTON Gravel Mob is this November 12th, in Ojai, CA (Info and Registration is here!) So, this week we look at products designed to make those miles more enjoyable. We see the updates Specialized has made to one of our favorite helmets, the Specialized Prevail, as well as ride the latest ISM saddle with the funny nose, before hydrating with science in tablet form from SiS.

The Saddle with a Nose for Comfort
ism-saddle
We spend long hours trying to be one with our bikes as endurance athletes so we need the very best in performance for our rear ends to stay comfortable enough to keep the pedals churning. The ISM PL 1.0 saddle is an update to the classic Breakaway seat—the PL 1.0 is the dominant force in ISM’s Performance Long category. Featuring bold new graphics, the comfort we’ve come to love from ISM and the nose-less design for excellent fore-aft rider movement and reduced soft tissue pressure. At 275mm long, with a rear width measuring 135mm, there is plenty of added support for riders that like to lean back for a more upright, power- climbing position.

Hydration Science in the Convenience of a Tablet
sis_gotabs
As an athlete, you know you need to stay hydrated in order to perform. Not only do you need water, but electrolytes maximize your watts when the going gets tough and the temperature rises. Science in Sport (SiS) Go Hydro Electrolyte Tablets are a science-based product that is designed to do just that. The effervescent tablets readily dissolve in plain water. Most importantly, GO Hydro tablets meet sodium requirements in the correct quantities (0.7 grams per liter) as well as concentration (30 millimoles per liter). This vegan, easily dissolvable tablet is virtually calorie free and comes in tubes that are easy to take on the road.
