Time Bikes may be one of the most recognized brands in French cycling, known mostly for its high-end, hand-woven carbon frames and forks. Time is also a player in the lightweight, performance pedal market with its familiar Xpresso platform. The Xpresso pedals, while quite light and stable, have often felt a little too narrow–when compared to Shimano or Look road pedals–to provide a fully solid connection and optimally efficient power transfer. Always an innovator in design, though, Time is now releasing its next-generation pedal line, The XPRO.
Peloton
The XPRO is a wider platform designed for improved comfort and power. It’s a light and aerodynamic pedal intended for high-performance riders to elite athletes.
The XPRO comes in three levels. The flagship model, XPRO 15, has a hollow titanium spindle with CeramicSpeed beaings. It is a top-of-the-line pedal with a claimed per pedal weight 88g. This model will set you back a hefty $600 for the pair.
The XPRO 12 has titanium spindles, weighs 94g per pedal, and costs $400 for the pair.
The 113g/pedal XPRO 10 has stainless steel spindles and is competitively priced at $250 for the pair.
