Bontrager has released a serious upgrade to its road pedal range focused on hitting a balance of low weight, durability and affordability. Made from a composite body and chromoly spindle, the new Elite Road pedals weigh in at a claimed 250 grams per set and cost just $100.

The Elite Road pedals include the features you would expect of a high end road pedal, including adjustable release tension and a low profile design. Plus, featuring sealed cartridge bearings, these pedals should spin smoothly for a long time.
The pedals are compatible with Look Kéo cleats which have six degrees of float. A nine-degree float version is available as well. We’re getting a pair in to test. Look for a write up soon in the pages of Peloton Magazine.
