LIGHTWEIGHT MEILENSTEIN C DISC WHEELS.

kit2

Lightweight is part of the larger, German- based Wissler Group that also engineers and designs precision agriculture products, medical devices, satellite communications and aerospace technologies. The Meilenstein C Disc wheelset is very similar to the rim-brake version, albeit a bit heavier, but with increased stopping power. A double-bonded, pentagon-shaped hub made by DT Swiss for the new disc version acts as a security net for heat amplif ication from the rotor. Hopefully, your pockets run a bit deeper than the 47mm rim depth offered on the Meinelstein C Disc, because at the price of a high-end carbon bike these are as expensive a pair of wheels as you can buy. $6,500; 1,390g wheelset; lightweight.info

Incorporating a carbon sole that is reinforced with graphene for additional strength, the Whisper shoe from Catlike is a new offering from the helmet company based in Spain. The outside part of the Whisper Road incorporates Clarino microfiber that helps to dissipate heat in warm weather, yet retains warmth when it’s cold outside. Two Boa dials and a Velcro strap combine to keep your foot secure without creating hotspots and offering plenty of mid-ride adjustment. The venting is adequate, the fit is not too tight and the heel cup provides a secure fit for all-day comfort. $300; four colors; 510g (size 43); catlike.es
